The Changes in the Number of Recruitment of Master of Engineering

　　What is shown in the diagram above shows us clearly that dramatic changes have taken place in the number of recruitment of Master of Engineering (ME) in the past seven years. According to the figures given in the diagram, we can see the number of recruitment of ME was on a steady rise all the times. In 1998, the recruitment number of ME was only about 2500, but within no more than seven years, the number reached to more than 35,000 in 2004.

　　Some driving factors that contribute to the above-mentioned changes may be summarized as fallows. First of all, with the rapid development of Chinese economy and society, the persons with specific abilities are badly needed, especially in high-technology industries. What's more, ME can enable people to find a high-paying job easily. It is said that nearly 100% job hunters with ME can get an ideal post in China nowadays. Furthermore, the conception of life-study is commonly accepted by so many Chinese young people that most of them choose to study further after a few years of graduation.

　　Taking all these factors into consideration, we may reasonably predict that with the rapid and further development of our society, the number of recruitment of ME will keep increasing in the forthcoming ten years. （ 213 words ）
